Mafer is a strategic and results-driven chemical engineer with over 17 years of international experience across the energy and chemicals sector. Throughout a career spanning five countries, she has cultivated a global mindset, blending strong analytical skills with extensive plant operational expertise and a deep passion for innovation. Mafer currently is serving as the Director & General Manager of Moeve Chemicals (Shanghai) Co. Ltd, and Chemicals Strategy & Investments Manager at Moeve in Madrid, she has been a key strategic leader within the organization since 2017, holding previous roles in Corporate Strategy, M&A, and Refining Business Development. Her international track record includes process and optimization roles at BP’s Castellón Refinery, engineering positions with Técnicas Reunidas and SABIC, and early career assignments with ExxonMobil in France and TOTAL in Venezuela. She holds a Global MBA from IE Business School, a Master of Science in Refining & Engineering from IFP School in France, and a degree in Chemical Engineering, graduating Cum Laude from USB in Venezuela.
