Dr. Lydia Shen

Dr. Lydia Shen is a global business leader with 30 years of experience in the automotive and electronics industries, including 21 years in C-suite roles.

Since 2022 she serves as President of MAHLE China. Throughout her career in multi-international Groups, she has held full P&L responsibility, leading over 11,000 employees across 30+ global plants. She has a proven track record in business turnaround, achieving significant profit growth in challenging environments. Her core expertise includes global operations management, M&A integration, cross-border joint venture governance and crisis management.

Dr. Shen is a guest professor at Soochow University and district-level People’s Congress deputy in Shanghai to leverage her strong connections with government officials. She also serves as Co-Chair of the ESG Committee for Foreign Enterprises in Pudong and actively committed to driving sustainable growth through her leadership in ESG initiatives and fostering strong government and stakeholder relations.
